​Replacement bridge near Gisburn
If you're a regular traveller between Gisburn and Long Preston you'll have been cursing about the A682 being closed from late November for 2 weeks! This was to allow for the rail bridge at Newsholme to be replaced. This was the old bridge....

and right on schedule, it was replaced over the weekend of 2/3 December
Both the line (only freight runs north of Clitheroe) and road have been running normally again since early December.
